Advertising for Players in a Private Members' Club

Question:

Is it legal to play poker for money in a private club if you advertise for members/players?

Answer:

1. It is an offence to for any advertisement to:

1.1 inform the public about premises on which gaming is to take place;
1.2 invite the public to take part in gaming or apply for information about taking part as players in gaming; or
1.3 invite the public to ‘subscribe' i.e. pay any money or money's worth which will be used in gaming, or to apply for information about facilities that are to be used for gaming.
