Legally Advertising for Players for Not-For-Money Games

Question:

Is it ever legal to advertise for players to come to a not-for-money game?

Answer:

1. Yes. If poker is not being played for money or money's worth, it does not constitute gaming. It will therefore not fall within the Act nor be an offence.
