Betfair Poker will be hosting an exclusive $50,000 Guaranteed tournament on Sunday 22 August at 6:15pm UK time, and online poker players can either buy-in to the game directly for just $20 + $2 or they can win themselves a seat for even less. How much less depends on the route that players take, but with four freeroll satellites running every day at 5pm, 7pm, 8pm and 10pm, it is possible to participate without investing a single penny of your own money!

Each freeroll tournament offers one guaranteed seat to the $50,000 Guaranteed tournament, but if you are prepared to invest a tiny portion of your bankroll on a buy-in qualifier you have plenty more options available to you.

The cheapest buy-in route available to you is a $0.50 + $0.05 Level 1 Satellite which offers at least one guaranteed seat into a daily GTD Satellite event. There are four Level 1 games each day and these take place at 12:05, 15:05, 18:05 and 21:05.

There are four daily GTD Satellites and each one offers at least one seat guaranteed to the $50,000 Guaranteed tournament. The buy-in here is $3 + $0.30 and the games are held at 14:05, 17:05, 20:05 and 23:05.

Four cheaper daily GTD Satellites take place at 13:05, 16:05, 19:05 and 22:05 each day, and once again each one offers at least one guaranteed seat to the $50,000 Guaranteed tournament. The buy-in here is $1 + $0.10.

A good general rule of thumb concerning satellites is that the more expensive the buy-in is, the fewer opponents you can expect to face, and if that rule of thumb applies here then the $3 + $0.30 satellites would be the ones offering the best chance of winning from the perspective of pure probability. Of course, with all of the buy-ins being so low the rule of thumb may not be as useful here as it can be elsewhere, so our advice is to have a go at whichever route appeals to you as a player, and if you would prefer to buy-in directly to the $50,000 Guaranteed tournament itself, go ahead!
