Get Ready for The Snowball

Talking about snowballs before the end of August might sound a tad unreasonable for those of us who live in the northern hemisphere, but The Snowball we are referring to here isn’t a carefully compacted fistful of the cold stuff – it’s an impressive online poker promotion coming very soon to PartyPoker. The Snowball will give Palladium Lounge players the chance to win up to 15 prizes and those who don’t play in the Palladium Lounge can participate in big money freerolls, so there is something for everyone.

The Snowball promotion starts on Wednesday 1 September, runs right through until Thursday 30 September and the aim is to collect as many points as you can by playing real money poker games throughout the month. Our motive for telling you about the promotion now is obviously to help ensure that you can log into your PartyPoker account (or open a new one, if necessary) in advance and get yourself ready to hit the ground running just as soon as The Snowball starts rolling next week.

The more points you earn as you play real money games at PartyPoker, the more prizes you can win, and as The Snowball title of this promotion suggests, the prizes start at a fairly modest level and grow larger as you progress, as follows:

Earn 5 points and win a $5k freeroll entry
Earn 25 points and win a $10k freeroll entry
Earn 50 points and win a $15k freeroll entry
Earn 100 points and win a $20k freeroll entry
Earn 200 points and win a $50k freeroll entry
Earn 500 points and win $20
Earn 1,000 points and win $25
Earn 2,000 points and win $55
Earn 5,000 points and win $175
Earn 10,000 points and win $325
Earn 15,000 points and win $375
Earn 20,000 points and win $425
Earn 30,000 points and win $900
Earn 40,000 points and win $1,200

All of these prizes are cumulative, so if you were to earn 20,000 points you would have won a total of $1,400 in prize money and entries into all five available freeroll events. Talking of those freerolls, they will take place in order of magnitude from Monday 4 October to Friday 8 October, with the $5k freeroll being held on the first day and the $50k freeroll being held on the last day.
