Poker in the Park 2009

The Poker in the Park 2009 schedule has been released and the details of Europe’s largest poker festival are enough to delight any online poker player who takes the hobby seriously. Poker in the Park takes place at Leicester Square in London on Thursday 13 August, 2009 from 17:00 to 21:30, and on Friday 14 August, 2009 from 12:00 to 21:30.

Those of you who are able to get to Leicester Square for Poker in the Park 2009 should make every effort to do so, because there is plenty to make the trip worthwhile. Here are just a few of the highlights you can look forward to:

- A free 100 player no-limit Texas Hold’em tournament every hour. These freeroll tournaments will give you the chance to practice your offline poker skills and maybe walk away with a nice prize if you happen to play well. Go to the Poker Dome (Tent 8) to take part.

- Littlewoods Poker Tuition from the likes of Tony Cascarino and former EastEnders actor Michael Greco. Head to Tent 9 and learn how to play poker like a pro!

- Poker Lectures will be held in Tent 5 and take the format of a 30 minute lecture followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. Expect to receive pearls of poker wisdom from Nik Persaud, Neil Channing, Jamie Gold and many more.

- Meet the Nuts girls and the team from Bluff Europe in Tent 4, which is also referred to as the Poker Plex. If you don’t know who the Nuts girls are then be careful not to get too overexcited when you find out.

- Participate in the PKR Heads Up Challenge in Tent 3. Live Heads Up sit n go competitions will be running throughout the Poker in the Park event, and if you fare better then everyone else you’ll be crowned Poker in the Park Heads Up Poker Champion. You’ll also get a trophy and your picture in a poker mag!

There’s a whole lot more on offer at the Poker in the Park festival, but you get the idea. You’ll also be pleased to learn that admission to Poker in the Park 2009 is absolutely free, so all you have to do to take advantage of everything on offer is get yourself to Leicester Square on 13-14 August and help yourself!
