Poker in the Park

If you’re likely to be in or around London between 4pm on Friday 15 August and 6:30pm on Saturday 16 August, you may want to check out Poker in the Park, Europe’s largest poker festival.

Poker in the Park will be taking place at Leicester Square in London, and some 25,000 people are expected to attend. The festival will give people a chance to participate in free poker tournaments, enjoy free poker seminars, meet plenty of kindred spirits and buy all the poker games, books and merchandise they’ll ever need.

There will be a good number of poker professionals attending Poker in the Park, including Dave ‘Devilfish’ Ulliot, Neil Channing and Marc Goodwin. Poker-loving celebrities will also be around, including US chat show host Montel Williams. If you fancy getting an autograph or two you can do at the end of each 20-40 minute seminar.

It isn’t often that poker enthusiasts get the chance to both play and learn about their favourite game for free, let alone rub shoulders with professional players, so the Poker in the Park festival is well worth attending if you happen to be free this weekend and within  travelling distance to Leicester Square in London.
