Bet365 Poker Review

With their original betting site, Bet365 made a name for themselves as major online force to be reckoned with. Then Bet365 Casino provided a magical online experience for those wanting to play roulette, blackjack, slot machines and the like. Does this mean that Bet365 Poker is another automatic winner? We put the site through its paces to find out…

The first step, as always, is to download the poker room software. This was a breeze and installation went without a hitch. Within three minutes of clicking the download button we were sitting at a no limit table playing. Granted, we did have an existing Bet 365 sportsbook account, and this speeds the process up a little, because one account is used for all Bet365 sites. But even if you need to open an account from scratch, the process only takes a few minutes more, so overall the whole procedure is quick and painless.

Play Now

When you have opened your account and deposited some cash, you can begin to play. Bet365 Poker is on the Prima Poker network and you can choose from Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha High-Low, 5 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud. Stakes range from $0.05/$0.10 right up to $100/$200 in cash games, and you can also enter Sit & Go Tournaments with a buy-in of between $1 and $10,000. You can also set up your own table if you want to play a private game. In other words, there's a game here to suit every pocket and all levels of ability.

Graphically, we were surprised at how simple the poker room environment is. Yes, the table is clean, and neat, but it's also totally devoid of any character whatsoever. Imagine playing poker in the board room of a sterile office building and you'll probably have the right idea of what to expect. There are no player avatars and the animation of the cards being dealt is far too fast to be worth having. The audio is also fairly mundane, and offers nothing more than the usual sounds of chips chinking and players checking. Speech bubbles coming from the seats during chat are a novel touch, but the point of having speech bubbles coming from empty seats eludes us somewhat.

Fortunately, what Bet365 Poker lacks in environmental ambience it more than makes up for in user-friendliness. Play options during the game are clear and logical, the screen is tidy and you have easy access to all the menus you are likely to need at short notice.

Outside the game, Bet365 provide a number of very nice additional features, such as a great online tutorial, a poker school, a weekly $5,000 Freeroll and a monthly $30,000 Freeroll. There are also plenty of promotions running, including chip bonuses and pay to play opportunities.

Overall, this is a very good online poker room and we highly recommend it. Had the gaming environment been a bit more interesting then it would be an undoubted champion.
